“Robert & Jenn are a real blessing and have become a very important part of our church family. They have shown all of us at the “La Hermosa” church in San Miguel del Padron what it means to sacrifice, give and serve far beyond what is expected. The families in our small house church and the surrounding community are very grateful for all of the financial support and the many items that Robert & Susan have brought to us for many years”. Their Christian example of sacrifice and giving for others is what biblical Christianity is all about.

“We want to thank Robert of Friends to Cuba for all of the valuable assistance he provided to myself and our family during our recent Varadero vacation. Robert arrange for Jannout to pick us up at our hotel, take us to the children’s home in Matanzas and a full day tour into Havana. The children were wonderful and very polite and accepted our gifts and items with excitement. It was amazing to see all of the new construction and renovations that have been made at the home through Friends to Cuba. We will be returning to Cuba and will return to the children’s home”

“Robert & Susan are loved by all of us at the children’s home. I personally want to say how much the new washrooms, bedrooms, kitchen appliances and the laundry room are appreciated by all of us at the children’s home. Also, the many school and health items that have been brought to us by Robert & Susan and the many visitors that Robert send to us, are always delivering numerous items for school, sports, games, clothes and fun items for the children & young people. Robert and Susan have become a very important part of our home. I’d like to also say that Robert has become a very dear friend to me and my wife Maria. Thank you Robert and Susan for all that you have done for us.You are a real blessing to us.

“This was our third trip to Cuba, but this was our first time getting away from the tourist area and giving back. Robert Beer of Friends to Cuba set everything up for us (a group of 6) to visit the Matanzas children’s home and the Rotilla special needs school near Santa Cruz. We also took in all sorts of school supplies, health care needs, games and sports equipment. This was the highlight of our two weeks in Cuba. Thank you Robert for your wonderful work in Cuba. We will be supporting you. Thanks!

“This was our first Cuban vacation. I found the Friends to Cuba webpage and contacted Robert Beer for any Cuban information and if we could help “Friends to Cuba” by visiting the children’s home and delivering any items that were needed. Robert was very helpful in arranging the driver, sending us a list of the important items that they need in Matanzas, as well provided us with many Cuban vacation travel tips which proved to be very helpful, since this was our first Cuban experience. My husband and I along with my sister and her husband were met by Jannout in his beautiful 55 Chevy! Jannout took us to the children’s home where we met with the many young children and young people who were all so polite. We had a wonderful time being shown all the work and renovations that have been done, understanding the needs and situation at the home (and in Cuba) outside of the tourist areas. This was the highlight of our vacation. Jannout was the perfect tour guide and proved to be very helpful in showing us the many sites around Matanzas and Havana including a great Cuban restaurant near Havana. We’ll be back and will be supporting “Friends to Cuba” in the future. Thanks….Robert”.

Thank you Friends to Cuba, Robert, Susan, Jannout, Felipe, Ernesto, Leo, Rosy y Yaniel for all their kindness and hospitality in getting to Cuba and being in Cuba. I went alone for Christmas time 2015 as an educator. I was treated like family by the friends of Pastor Bob and by the children at the Matanza’s orphanage. My favorite memory was sprawled on the floor teaching English to the children and playing Bingo! I loved every moment of my Cuban experience and La Habana was unique during Christmas. My students at home sent many school and sports supplies and wrote post cards to the students in Cuba, I laminated them to preserve this experience and we will definitely keep the relationship going. Children are the world’s leaders and investing in their lives and future is what Friends to Cuba is doing!
